Upcoming events at the Castro Theater
Absolutely righteous programming this month at the greatest movie theater in the world, the Castro Theater. Here’s a list of stuff I’m definitely going to:
- Friday, May 4th: Midnites for Maniacs. Triple feature of Predator, The Thing, and A Boy and His Dog
- Saturday & Sunday, May 5th & 6th: The Graduate
- Saturday, May 12th: The Royal Tenenbaums and The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou1
- Friday, May 18th: Sudden Impact and Robocop
- Wednesday, May 23rd: Harold and Maude and Brewster McCloud
- Thursday, May 24th: Barfly and Road House
- Friday, May 25th: Nightmare Alley and The Warriors
- Saturday, May 26th: Marx Bros. triple feature of Monkey Business, Horse Feathers, and Animal Crackers
- Monday & Tuesday, May 28th & 29th: Hugo and The Adventures of Tintin
- Thursday, May 31st: A Fistful of Dollars and The Outlaw Josie Wales
There are several more movies that I’m kinda interested in seeing but at that point I’d basically be at the Castro every single day for the entire month. (This would not be a problem.) You can peep the entire schedule on the Castro Theater’s website.

I’m going to be out of town for this sadly. There are also a few other movies while I’m going to be out of town that look good too — a Bernardo Bertolucci double feature and a double feature of the “lost” Steve Jobs interview and The Social Network. ↩

The show ended with a sing-along to Al Green’s “Let’s Stay Together”. No idea why, but it was awesome.
